Instructor Seminar 9/11/10 (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
During this very informative Seminar, students of all ranks,(especially 3rd Geub [red belt) or higher], will review various techniques/skills. This includes, kicks, striking techniques, poomses (forms), etc. The students will increase their knowledge of the martial art techniques and how to best teach them to various belt rank levels based on the students age and their ability to understand the techniques.
October Belt Promotion Test 10/9/10 (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
Students from all martial arts class will demonstrate the skills that they have learned, so that they may earn their next belt ranking in Taekwondo, Habgido or Gumdo. Spectators are welcome to come watch their friends or relatives earn their next belt level and to check us out see if they are interested in trying out the martial arts classes for themselves.
Universal American National Taekwondo Gumdo Union: Fall Championship 11/13/10 (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
There will be many exiting areas of competition. They are as follows: Taekwondo - Sparring, Poomse (Forms), Board Breaking; Habgido - Sparring, Best 10 Techniques (Demonstration); Gumdo - Sparring, Poomse (Forms /w wooden sword), Board Breaking; Weapons (Forms Only)- Jo & Bo Staffs, Numchucks, Escrima, Kama, Etc. This competition is for martial art students of all ages: Children, Women, and Adult. Spectators are more than welcome to attend this very exciting event!!!! December Belt Promotion Test & Christmas Party 12/11/10 (1:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Students from all martial arts class will demonstrate the skills that they have learned, so that they may earn their next belt ranking in Taekwondo, Habgido or Gumdo. Spectators are welcome to come watch their friends or relatives earn their next belt level and to check us out see if they are interested in trying out the martial arts classes for themselves. The December Belt Promotion Test is starting at 1:00PM because we will be having our annual Christmas Party immediately following the test. Students are encouraged to bring their friends to watch the test and to stay for the party. There will be plenty of fun, games, and holiday music. Korean Tour 2010 7/23/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
The Korean Tour 2010 is from July 23, 2010 (Friday) through July 31, 2010 (Saturday).
Join Hong’s USA Taekwondo Habgido Gumdo and the Universal American National Taekwondo Habgido Gumdo Union from July 23rd (Friday) thru July 31, 2010 (Saturday) for eight (8) days of training and sightseeing in South Korea, the homeland of Taekwondo.
Throughout the entire trip you will experience firsthand the many marvels of the Korean culture. The first two days will be spent in the city of Busan, working out with Grandmaster Lee Byung-Chae, a 9th Degree Black Belt and some of his instructors & students.
We will then spend a couple of days at the city of Andong, on the coast of South Korea. Andong is a spectacular coastal resort town. We will work-out on the beach and tour the city.
We will return to Seoul and tour the city and the many local shops. Because your money can go a long way, you can return with many souvenirs at bargain prices, so practice your haggling! You will then have an opportunity to test for your next color belt or for your next black belt degree (up to 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, Habgido, and/or Gumdo) in front of Korean Grandmasters, such as Grandmaster Lee Byung-Chae. Whoever is going to South Korea, will receive World Mooye Federation, and World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), Kukkiwon Korea Taekwondo, Habgido, and Gumdo citations/diplomas. Those that go on the Korean Tour will get a chance to workout with students at the Lira High School - This is where many Olympic Taekwondo Sparring Gold Medallists and Poomse (Forms) World Champions came from. WOW!!! WHAT AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY THAT YOU CAN HAVE A CHANGE TO DO SOMETHING THAT VERY FEW PEOPLE GET TO DO!!!!
The cost of the Korean Tour 2010 includes the following: airfare, food, and accommodations. It does not include the fees for guided tours, testing, or spending money (or anything else that may come up). Please let us know right away the name of the airport closest to you so that we can arrange your airline reservation. The cost of your individual ticket may vary because of what airport you will be departing from.
